How do we know he did not prosecute the tip of the iceberg of corruption to make a good appearance and is actually hiding the rest of the iceberg below the surface?
When the president asks you to tender your resignation, you tender your resignation. You don’t get to say no.
Besides, Trumps cunning enough to use these resignations requests as a test. It’s not rare that those that resign are hired back.
It’s political. He’s sided with the Democrats and his refusal to resign is a move to stir up controversy when he’s fired.
Myy bosees (as I dis also) had them escotred out and had the locks changed. Bye bye...
“Preet, I’m excited to let you know that you have been selected for a new assignment.
Here’s about 1,300 speeding tickets for government employees from almost every state, including Alaska.
Go fight them in court.
Personally - no assistants.
See you next year.”
He should be making MANY recess appointments until the Rats stop obstructing. He can’t adequately do his job without his people in place. Time to fight fire with a flamethrower.
Thanks for that. I was surprised this morning when George Webb ad-libbed on his latest vid that Bhararar’s leaving was a good thing. It _may_ be Preet is foot-dragging on way too many very sensitive cases.
I did read a few weeks ago that Bhrara was meeting intensively w/Schumer and Schumer’s attorney wrt to some allegations (?) of financial impropriety.
I’ll trust Trump. If Bharara is grandstanding, Trump will respond appropriately.
Yes, I don’t understand this insanity at all. This guy not only took down corrupt rat politicians, including THE biggest rat in New York Sheldon Silver, but he also prosecuted a lot of terrorists. What the hell is Trump thinking? Have the RINOs gotten to him already? Bharara BTW was ALSO investigating the Clinton foundation!!!
Precisely. It is not his call.
Is THAT the reason? Wow, makes sense because I can think of no other, but still, this guy Bharara locked up a lot of corrupt Democrats and terrorists. I think Trump is making a mistake UNLESS he offers Bharara another higher position but on the other hand, Schumer is a POS.
Trump was keeping him on to continue his investigation of the Clinton Foundation.
He also was supposedly investigating the Clinton foundation. I don’t what the hell is going on with Trump suddenly, between this Obamacare 2 and now this, I really hope he is not succumbing to the RINOs because he can forget doing a second term if that happens. He WILL be a failed POTUS if he allows himself to be absorbed by the Washington monster. He has to stay focused and destroy it! Repeal and replace! Investigate and lock up the crooks in Washington, drain the swamp!
if this is true that he is trying to use the ignoring the president asking for him to resign so he can use the publicity to get higher office. sessions should just assighn him some place where he can do a minimum damage and then fire him at a point where its to late for him to go after the office he wants.

Oh ye of little faith....
Cut his pay. That might give him a hint that it’s serious. If it can be done. I don’t even know. LOL!
I have been following George Webb’s videos on the debacle with Clinton foundation, and correlated crimes. There are about 40 or so citizen investigators putting all the puzzle pieces together.
As far as source, from what I gather, the NYPD detectives themselves are the whistleblowers exposing Bharara’s inaction.
There must be a reason behind Trump asking for his resignation. This may be it.
Calm down, no one here need be ashamed for expecting federal employees to obey a request from President Trump or AG Sessions.
IF as you say there is a good explanation for what Bharara is doing, then give it. But don’t expect every FReeper to know the ins and outs of one US Attorney, and don’t rant that ppl here “ought to be ashamed of themselves” for expecting Sessions and Trump to be obeyed by federal employees.
