It does not repeal Obamacare.
It rearranges who collects the penalty from the IRS to the insurance companies.
It does not remove Fedzilla from the center of healthcare and does not remove the structure of federal control.
In fact in one place it makes things worse by relaxing the requirements so that illegal aliens can get in.
I’m going based on what I heard from Paul Ryan when he was given his presentation. I don’t trust him so who knows but he said they repealed the mandate and additional taxes and then they gave a tax credit (not a refundable one). None of that screams over reach to me. The one thing I had a problem with is the subsidy but he was up from about it. So, based on what he said in his presentation the bill doesn’t sound like Obamacare to me...Rand says he keeps the caddilac tax. How? Where? Rand says they force you to buy insurance (Ryan said exactly the opposite in his presentation). Rand also says they force you to pay a penalty to the insurance company if you don’t buy insurance. What provision calls for that? Conservatives are very light on facts here, just a lot of trigger words. I don’t doubt them yet but to me they are losing the argument because I have no idea what they’re talking about
