Sessions asks 46 Obama-era US attorneys to resign

The call for resignations applies to all Senate-confirmed U.S. Attorneys, including Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.

That comes as a surprise, as Bharara reportedly met with Trump after the election and agreed to remain in his position during the Trump administration. Sessions also asked him to stay, the prosecutor told The New York Times.

It sounds like he was already on notice as temporary, and the only question would be whether he’s stepping down right now with the others.

I see the judge who appointed him had himself been a Bush appointee.

If ever there were to be a political cartoon figure of an enormous fat pig at the Government trough, it would DI. I don’t know why President Bush didn’t at least have her investigated. It remains to be seen in President Trump would at least look into how she and her husband go so rich from Government service.

Looks like an odd situation. The U.S. Attorney stepped down, and a Judge appointed Williams. Let us fervently hope, in light of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge prosecutions, that President Trump will name a replacement ASAP.

And don’t forget, early in the GWB Admin, when that small plane collided with our surveillance plane. GWB wouldn’t apologies as the small plane was harassing the surveillance plane. But Di-Fi DID apologize FOR THE USA (I didn’t know a Senator could speak for the President without the President’s authorization), as she didn’t want to jeopardize her husband’s lucrative business interactions with China.

The local news stations around here (Albany NY/capital region) are gleefully reporting that Preet is out as a result of the manner in which the New York Slimes’ has faked up and spun the story.

The real news far as I can determine it is that Preet and the rest of them will tender their resignations and then they are accepted or not accepted.

SO Preet’s will not be accepted and he will stay (I assume) on. The Slimes wants us to think he is out because we (conservatives) know that Preet is investigating Wiener, probably Hillary. This is spun to make us nervous - fake news.
