Funny! I have a neighbor that grows that kind of peppers because he fried his taste buds years ago.
Pretty sure they were complaining about the serving temperature and not the spiciness.
Putting extra hot peppers in them and then serving them cold might make the lawsuit more entertaining, and very confusing though so you might actually be on to a solution.
I’d still do them the same.
