U.S. electronics chain RadioShack Corp filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday for the second time in a little over two years, faced with a challenging retail environment and an unsatisfying partnership with wireless provider Sprint Corp.
The Chapter 11 filing comes after RadioShack, owned by General Wireless Operations Inc, tried to revitalize its business by co-branding stores with the wireless carrier in an effort to compete against their largest rivals.

Specialized stuff like this doesn’t really need brick and mortar locations.
Also, the last time I went to a Radio Shack, it was very clear that they really were just a cell phone store. It’s all they were doing when I was there and it was almost impossible to get help with anything else.

My wife went to Radio Shack to buy a VGA to HDMI cable for her laptop. They were going to charge her over $30 for it plus they said if it was the wrong cable she could not return it. I told her not to get it.
I found one on Amazon for $7.
I wonder why they can’t make any money.....
Me, for one. I just scored some incredible deals at the local “Shack”! Today is the last day!
Ha ha!
