"Assange, a man believed by some U.S. officials and lawmakers to be an untrustworthy pawn of Russian President Vladimir Putin"

SERIOUSLY???

How many is "some"? One, two, three? total BS. Apparently the new bugaboo for people the corporate media/elite/Dems/Progessives/globalists don't like is to claim they're "in bed with Putin".

Seems the NSA, FBI, and CIA hackers would have been good enough to know about Wikileaks dumping their hacking tools over the Internet.

If they couldn’t hack Wikileaks, they’re probably not hacking the ones they should be. I guess the CIA has just become an operative for liberals and globalization.

If a guy finds your lost wallet, and gives it back to you, most people would be grateful. I would. This seems a lot more significant to all impacted. I’ve listened to a lot of talking heads, and the one thing that is never talked about besides the breach itself, is the fact that all the CIAs software is out in the wild as we speak. Mindboggling ineptitude.

The methods Assange uses to deliver his stuff is virtually hack proof. Think of trying to wipe out an ant colony with a fly swatter, some are going to get through.

How could they not know some of this stuff was going to be released? Seems they would have had knowledge of any leaks of this magnitude.

Sounds like there may be at least one good guy at the CIA and he’s a leaker.

Inept, or covering their own tracks...(perhaps rogue/illegal tracks)

The whole article is a farce. Of COURSE Assange is helping the morons make their systems secure.

Of COURSE the moon is made of green cheese.

I’d give to 2:1 odds on rogue activity/coverup, and 6:5 on ineptitude and simple-mindedness.

Some say this slippery slope began after 911 from a jurisdictional standpoint. But it goes much further back than that. The OSS under Wild Bill Donavan was an undisciplined bunch and their tradition of keeping information to themselves was born out of the Army/Navy Intelligence competition that preceded them. After WWII America was the least scathed world power on the scene and the re-desgnated CIA used their big picture ‘anti-communism’ and ‘protect our nuclear secrets at all costs’ mandate to intimidate the rest of the world in their own cowboy style. Many believe it cost JFK his life when he threatened their existence after the Bay of Pig and was reluctant to expand the war in Vietnam. Their overall prevalence today is not surprising to me. They are probably just keeping up with their competition in Russia and China. It doesn’t make me happy and ideologically I’d like to see them disbanded because they’ve become too powerful in the name of National Security but they are a necessary evil in the world in which we find ourselves. And they know it. But they do need to be reigned in.

You know, after the Vault7 leaks, I decided to watch the movie “Snowden.”

Am I wrong for thinking this man an American patriot and hero?

If so, please tell me how he is not.

I will never again look at a Rubik’s cube the same way....

I’ve said from day one he’s a hero and a patriot.

When the democrats and the republicans BOTH called him a traitor, I knew the opposite was true. Lots of the politicians KNOW what he knows and it scares them to death. Not for the country. But for what they’re afraid he’ll release about them.

I find it interesting that abmsnbcnn has not explored this coverup angle...
