According to what was reported by Brett Baier, Gen. Flynn just filed papers that he had been lobbying during the campaign.
One of Trump’s proposals was a lifetime ban on executive branch employees from lobbying for foreign countries.
Flynn betrayed Trump. “Lying” to Pence was a weak cover argument.
Flynn wrote a nauseatingly pro-Islamist op-ed that appeared on ELECTION DAY. It was just bizarre. He was a loose cannon and it was only a matter of time until he got fired, IMO.
Unless Trump had that restriction as an actual term of accepting the position as his advisor ( which Flynn did before Trump was even elected)! and Flynn signed it, he didn’t “ lie”
I was thinking the same thing. Flynn was the first to violate Trump’s Foreign Lobbying ban. I’m glad he was fired. We talked about Flynn’s Turkey connections here on FR months ago.
