Attorneys for the state of Hawaii filed a lawsuit this week against President Donald Trump over his new travel restrictions on six terror hot spot nations — Syria, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Libya and Yemen. “This new executive order is nothing more than Muslim Ban 2.0,” said Doug Chin, Hawaii’s attorney general, in a statement explaining the pending suit. “Under the pretense of national security, it still targets immigrants and refugees. It leaves the door open for even further restrictions.” You know, it dawns that not too long ago, a statement like that would’ve been ripped in the press, shred for its sheer lunacy. Border control is a “pretense” of national security? Worse yet: Border control “targets immigrants and refugees?” Exactly whom would Mr. Chin prefer border policy target — lawful citizens?

Trump won’t run into too much judicial interference this time. The message sent by having DHS, SOS and DOJ introduce the bill to the public was a clear message to the judicial system.
So now state judges know and forewarned that they will be ignored if they rule otherwise.
Democrats are open borders.
Anything else is heresy.
During the Obama years the federal courts’ favorite party trick (including the Supreme Court) was to deny suits by claiming the plaintiffs had no standing.
How, one wonders, does a state in the union have standing to sue the federal government over powers that are Constitutionally granted to the federal government and specifically in the executive branch? They don’t, of course, but that never stopped lefties from virtue signaling.
In Hawaii, the Attorney General is appointed by the Governor. Except for two occasions since statehood, they’ve all been Democrat hacks.

If Trump allows his DOJ to appear in a lower level Federal Court about this matter, he/they are not even following USConstitution. SCOTUS is the only court which legally can hear such a case: a State vs Federal. Read USConstitution, follow it; force other branches to adhere to it. Or USA can continue sliding into lawlessness.
