I think everyone underestimated just how powerful the shadow government that Obama built was.
Do you remember the Super Secret, Super Genius plans that GW was supposed to have?
Do you remember how many freepers scolded us and tried to prove that Roberts decision was really a secret plan to kill ObamaCare?
I am not sure how we arrive at all this speculation on how Trump's 3D chess game is going to save the day. I doubt anyone in his administration has better plans than freepers present here daily, but can't just assume that Trump or his people get it. Example he praised the Ryan bill this morning and clearly it is ObamaCare light, like a lot of us Freepers knew it would be, yet hoped that Trump would undo it.
Indeed—Trump barely has any staff at this point and far too many of those he does have are GOPe operatives.
But I was encouraged to hear Rand Paul a few minutes ago say that Trump had called him yesterday and was interested to hear alternatives and improvements to what they rolled out today.
I can’t imagine trying to deal with all of what Trump is dealing with right now, but I hope he adjusts course to get more loyal staffers in to support his admin soon.
Trump did say he wasn’t going to let people go without medical care. I assumed this meant another entitlement, just not as expensive or invasive as Obamacare, so I think Ryan’s plan is exactly what he had in mind.
The tax-deductibility of employer plans also should be applied to anyone buying insurance in their own - to be fair. Or remove the tax deduction employers get and have employees pay their part post-tax. There shouldn’t be 2 sets of rules about it.
