You are the one who continues to willfully ignore anything that contradicts your doom and gloom point of view. The point that I have tried to make with you over and over and over and now over again... is that what makes a great election or a great anything in our lives is facing challenges, fighting the good fight and winning.
As far as Nixon goes... I admire the man's life and what he accomplished greatly. I do not believe he resigned because he gave up, I believe that he resigned because of his honor and because he thought that it was the best thing for the country.
I thank you for making my evening more amusing, and to commemorate our conversation I have changed my Tag Line to “The Best Election Ever!!!” This is not a phrase that I have used previously, but you have helped me realize that it is one that I should embrace. So thank you!
It's NOT a "doom & gloom" point of view at all. You just are incapable of seeing what I am driving at and think that my finding a stupid, banal, inane, meaningless meme is funny. It doesn't take much to tickle your fancy, I guess.
Let me try to make this is simple as possible, for ya....what IF Trump turns out to so hamstrung, that he can't do most of things we all hope he is going to do; WHAT THEN? Will this still be "THE GREATEST ELECTION EVER"?
What if Ivanka and Jared convince him to do some really dumb/lefty stuff? Will this still be "THE GREATEST ELECTION EVER"?
I could go on, with many other what ifs, but my point is that it's really far too early to crow about Trump's presidency! The election is OVER....now the real stuff happens.
So by all means, use the meme, also use it for a tag line, but if you imagine that that will get under my skin, or whatever, let me disabuse you of that thought. I'll just continue to believe that you and your ilk aren't wise, nor capable of rational thought.
I worked on both of his winning presidential campaigns and know that he was an honorable man, which is WHY he resigned; it was to SAVE THIS COUNTRY...just as he didn't contest the JFK fraudulent win, in '60!
