It’s going to get worse, and much more expensive.
One third of our NE electric generating capacity (10,000MW of 31,000MW) is slated to be retired in the next five years. We’re fighting to get the Northern Pass project built (transmission line project to bring energy from Hydro-Quebec) and that will replace only 10% of what we’re slated to lose.
We pay about 5 cents per kwh. LOL.
