However, her parents have her dressed like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. To my eyes she looks nice: plain, but sweet and wholesome, and dressed modestly. But I imagine her high school classmates viewed her through a lens different from my old eyes.
Adolescence can be tough on girls, and sending a girl off to high school in the 1990s, but dressed like 1903, probably made it hard on her. It couldn't have helped her disturbed mind. She looks as far removed from the world of hip-hop as Shirley Temple.
