Summer blend? Ours went up here also. The summer blend iirc gets more mpg and is more expensive to produce. Or so I am told by the fuel producers.

I did hear something on the news where the price for gasoline is predicted to be around $3 a gallon this summer ...

Interesting chart for inflation adjusted gasoline prices.

http://inflationdata.com/articles/inflation-adjusted-prices/inflation-adjusted-gasoline-prices/

My guess is that, if you also adjust for taxes, the government makes more on gas the any other entity, and boutique blending, artificial restrictions on distribution (see California) whole sale prices of gasoline are historically low.

If you factor in fuel efficiency gains and historical inflation adjusted wage gains the ratio of fuel cost to miles driven has probably never been lower.

As gas prices rise we get more jobs in Texas. I wish I didn’t have to drive.

It always goes up around the holidays. Look for a spike during Spring Break and another for summer.

These are bargain days. Remember back when it was over $4.

Summer blend on the way and look for 45 - 75 cents per
gallon increase over the summer.
