Quick, someone tell Ivanka!
One of my department heads admitted it. She said, “The guys come in here for interviews and they ask for more money than the women are making, and I hire them because they are the best person for the job.”
Of course there is no gender gap and there hasn’t been for years. It is just another class of lies perpetrated by corrupt media.
What, the next thing you know someone will be telling her climate change isn’t all about the human use of carbon fuels...
That’s like telling a woman she’s putting on weight.
Comparing all net women working in some way to all men working is apples and oranges. More women in less professional jobs while men are in better jobs means the “average” woman indeed makes less than average man.
Never mind if women demand more time off with children and so on.
I never felt cheated in my professional jobs. Not with money.
I have been an employer for 40 years. If I could hire a woman to do the same job as a man and pay her a lot less I would be hiring only woman.
I see women getting paid A LOT MORE than the equivalent man.
I’m in the math and science environment. Women are so rare here that to make the numbers look good, women are given a comparative advantage — frankly, dumb women are hired over smart men, and paid more, just to try and get more women in the statistics. Women of equal ability are searched for, giving them another advantage. The same is true for many people identified as politically good to favor. Being an intelligent, healthy, moral, conservative white male is a death sentence for a career.
I am amazed at how often I go micro Galt. In a meeting, I’ll see the obvious solution, but just not want to give my idea to a pack of fakers to run with. I get more watching them fail then I would helping them.
Weeeee! Are we having fun?
This was for the exact same job. She was a maverick and decided to tell us we were making less than the recently hired men with much less experience.
