James Rosen on being the target of surveillance under the Obama administration

With the Trump administration claiming Trump Tower may have been wiretapped and a spokesman for Obama denying he was involved in such a thing, some are recalling the targeting of Fox News reporter James Rosen by the Obama Department of Justice. Rosen appeared on Fox News today to discuss his experience.

“I have to clarify that I was not wiretapped, my parents were not wiretapped, which is where you place a listening device on someone’s telephone line and you listen to their conversations,” Rosen said. He continued, “What happened to me was that the Attorney General, Eric Holder, under Barack Obama as president secretly designated me a criminal co-conspirator and a flight risk and thereby had a federal judge give the government permission to rifle through all my gmails.

Watch the entire interview to see how Rosen was harassed by the Obama administration with barely a peep from his brothers in the MSM.

Obama was like the freakin STASI against the US media.

And the US media LOVES him..!

It’s disgusting.

They’re worse than those French ladies with the chopped hair after the Germans retreated.

They LIKE people who SPY on and PERSECUTE them.

That’s just sick.

Put nothing past Obama, Jarrett, Holder and Lynch. They have shown that for the Marxist and power-hungry Left, there are no limits to their crimes and treason.

Remember:

Obama wiretapped the parents of Fox News’s James Rosen — with no legal authority that I know of.

He illegally used the IRS to punish political opponents.

He illegally used an executive order to give amnesty to “Dreamers” — a power even he admitted he didn’t have.

He and Eric Holder intervened ion the ongoing case against the New Black panthers to end the prosecution — after the Bush Administration had essentially gotten them convicted.

So why wouldn’t he wiretap Trump, with or without a warrant?

‘The end justifies the means’....Obama is attempting to undermine the legitimacy of the Trump Administration....

....none of the community communist disorganizer’s appointments are to be trusted (especially the previously disingenuous James Comey)

From a WaPo article about Rosen in 2013:

The Obama administration has pursued more leak investigations under the 1917 Espionage Act than all previous administrations combined; it was criticized last week by the Associated Press for a sweeping search of the news agency’s phone records as part of one ongoing probe. The case against Kim does not include allegations of spying or that he gave any documents to the media. It appears to charge him for having conversations with reporters, something his attorneys have said was part of his job and part of the normal course of business in Washington.

Wiretapping is a technical term that is no longer even valid.

The issue is that Obama ordered invasion of privacy of a US citizen for purely political reasons.

Not just once, or twice, but hundreds of times.

Once again, “words have meanings” and people throw them around who don’t know what they’re talking about.

“Wiretapping” is too vague and obsolete to be clear. Trump specifically said his “wires were tapped” for this reason, the average person would get the gist of it but he did not provide specifics that would compromise investigations.

The proper term is “lawful intercepts” and can include everythign from VoIP via a cable modem to computer networks to mobile phones. In today’s telecom world the odds are high that the communications in question flows over a digital network so the old methods of literally “tapping” the wires no longer applies. Instead upong proper legal authorization, the data strem is directed to the monitoring entitity in accordance with exacting standards to ensure compliance with the law and to preserve the integrity of the intercepts for legal purposes. Unless he has more information than is forthcoming here it is unlikely that James Rosen actually knows the extent of what was done in his case.

An explanation can be found here and elsewhere for those interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawful_interception

Obama’s government could get access to all of Rosen’s emails and everyone else. They just couldn’t get all of Hillary’s.

Wire tap .. this is and old term for taping a phone call

What we are talking about now is intercepting any form of electronic communication

If you intercept.. electronic voice/data in motion/ transmission... digital traffic

Vs hacking in to data storage

IMHO we, as a nation, are currently at war with the US media or at least most it that is so biased it can’t possibly be called a news service any longer.

It’s truly disgusting what American media is today.
