I’m not sure that’s what Comey said. He is telling DOJ to put up or shut up, KNOWING they can’t put up evidence without revealing the FISAs that will expose them.

Comey perhaps stated the warrants were “legal” and didn’t equal illegal wiretapping by Obama. Still is pure BS. Any legitimate administration knows that wiretapping the opposition is like setting off an atom bomb.

As I understand it, the President has the authority to initiate surveillance outside of the FISA process.
If that is the case, then perhaps the FBI wasn’t involved at all. That may be what Comey is getting at.

This whole thing is making less and less sense. If they had anything at all worth spit on Trump it would have been revealed 3 months ago. Yet, I don't get why Trump would tweet this. Haven't we known many of these things for awhile? Is the new fact that has come to light that he was wiretapped?
Seems like Comey is not denying that the tapping was done, but that perhaps that Obama was behind it. I've always viewed Obama as too lazy to do anything this intricate.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I need to look further into the Comey angle on this it seems.
