The lib writer is twisting things. I read it last year. Very difficult read. Camp of the Saints, which is mostly about third-world Indians, has many racist statements in it, some just attributable to characters, but many to the novelist himself.
However, pay more attention to the overall plot line. It's chilling, and coming true in Europe, in a more gradual timeline. Another difference is now, the war is not First World vs Third World (class and race), but Christianity vs Islam (religion).

It’s really the left vs what’s left of Christianity and western civilization. Islam is just the tool they’re using to drive the stake through our hearts.
