Is there some reason to take the Guardian’s word for this? If the story were about Trump, you wouldn’t.
The Brits are having a bit of a cultural problem these days. So if the Guardian is spinning, it could be to make the Brits look like the good old boys back home. They may also be considering following a Trump lead and cutting foreign aid. Or maybe Goodluck has signaled another go at running for President and this is preemptive. Time will tell.
