Here is the deal. The wife and I were talking about this and she asked why in the hell would they do this since this smacks of Watergate?

She and I came to this conclusion. They felt Trump was actually going to lose and this would push Illiary over the top. Then Illiary could have this all shoved under the rug and nobody would know better.

Problem is, Trump won, and that is why all the deflection that has been going on these past weeks since Trump/Pence were sworn in.

And I keep thinking that despite all this — the wire tapping, the illegals voting, the ballot box stuffing, the GOP trying to sabotage him every step of the way, the media making up lies about him — he STILL won. Miraculous.

Dems were very close to what you describe. It would in all practical means, have been the end of the GOP as a real political force in America.

The end. Dems would have taken over. Trump, in a narrow victory, stood up strongly as said “America, is back”. And he overturned the entire leftist/RICO cabal.

Now he will be very busy, will need a lot of help from a lot of us.

But the GOP is now back. Bigtime.

THAT, my friends is specifically the reason. BO’B and crew actually believed THEY WOULD WIN. That they did not do so, left them with absolutely nothing to cover their ass and they had to think fast in order to cook up a story that would sound plausible. Subsequently, all it rendered was a pot of stone soup. IF DJT had not been successful, where would the US be today? Under the thumb of a Marxist, forceful regime. Thank GOD this did go awry. SEDITION, TREASON, UNLAWFUL, call it what you will, the entire regime are about to find themselves peering from behind bars. Of that, there is little doubt.

I think the Democrats were hoping the information gathered by the wire-tap would be the November Surprise to put the final nail in Trump's campaign. Another reason they were so smug going into the last week. If I recall, there were rumors of another shoe to drop on Trump.

But it never happened because they weer not able to get any evidence that linked Trump to the Russians. They were so confident that they had the goods on Trump that they weren't worried about the fallout, because they thought they would continue to have full control of the media, and the intelligence apparatus.

Once Trump won, they could only keep the lid on this for so long. That's why they have been so desperate to tie Trump to the Russians. To them it justifies why they started the investigation in the first place.

Hard to say exactly what Trump will do, but I hope he goes after the Democrats with everything at his disposal. This is the type of thing third world dictators do.
