“Dems think...” I stopped reading at that point.
Your vote is worth more if you’re enraged and out of control.
Yes, keep it up. I think it’s working really well.
They believe their own astroturf.
If the election was held today, Trump's victory would be substantially stronger than it was in November. His actions since the election have only solidified battleground states like WI, MI, PA where he won fairly narrowly. He may well pick up additional states like NH, MN and NV were the election held now.
This is clearly not going the way the liberals and media expected. They figured they would "Nixonize" Trump from Day One and make it impossible for him to govern effectively. Instead, Trump is slowly and steadily solidifying and growing his base and he's continuing to easily bypass the media gatekeepers with his social media postings. If Trump did not have a Twitter account, would we be even talking about Obama bugging the Trump Tower today?
We still need to see some results from the GOP controlled Congress however. So far, they have not put a single bill on the president's desk to sign. They promise much will get done in March so I'll give them that. But if we are at the same point this time next month, I'm going to start to get concerned. Not with Trump but with the GOP Congress who inexplicably seem to forget that they are the majority party now.
Only Trump is not owned by anybody
Nothing like this has EVER happened in this nation before and that it IS happening, should scare the blue blazes out of EVERY American...whether they like president Trump or not. This crap is what goes on in Banana Republics, North Korea, the old USSR, and RSA, under the ANC rule.
We all thought that if Hillary won, this nation was dooooomed.
What we didn't understand, is that we already were and that this Republic is now over, done, finished.
DJT, not being a politician, does not know how politicians think and act. Trump is at a disadvantage in their world.
Alternately, being stuck in their Foggy Bottom bubble, they don’t know how HE thinks and acts.
This photo does give me hope that he's got things figured out. Such confidence and repose amid the storm around him.
Their Cause = One Party Rule with a Dictator for Life
Between Ron Jonson and Scott Adams, I think I have an answer for it:
* Getting outraged and being able to rage at people is an adrenaline rush. Being able to then shame them into submission or hurt them with permission of the group is a dopamine hit. So the digital lynch mobs and increasingly physical ones are roused up and dissipated through chemical addictive cycles like a drug hit, but natural.
* You get moral approval of your peers by joining in a lynch mob and encouragement to amp up the abuse. In this regard, the competitive evil is something only humans engage in and do well. And the support of one’s peers and branding of the liberal bullies as good give you moral cover for any atrocity.
Doesn’t help much when the rest of the country thinks the “outrage” is bought and paid for.
Also, IF ( HUGE IF ) he does beat this, will the American populace even believe it?
1968 and 1972 taught them nothing.
The Internet and social media is a true game-changer. It used to be that most of America sat down after dinner to get their news from the Dan Rathers, Pete Jennings and Tom Brokaws of the world. This allowed the major networks to literally control the news and be the gatekeepers.
All that has been busted wide open by alternative media. Granted, that can work against the conservative cause as well as we've seen with outlets like Buzzfeed and Huffington Post. But we have our Drudges and Breitbarts and conservative alternative media outlets in general are gathering steam.
There are still #NEVERTRUMPERS here on FR and they are but the tip of that iceberg; sadly.
Also, this site was supposed to be for well informed people; that's no longer the case. I am appalled by the number of absolutely STUPID posts I have read here; posts that prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the posters know NOTHING whatsoever about what's in the Constitution, this nations' laws, how the government works ( or doesn't ), politics, or even American history.
Somebody needs to read them “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” story.
