I think he good and honorable. Whether or not he is a pit bull as Attorney General needs to be seen.
Before he joined the Trump campaign, all I knew of Sessions was that he was a solid conservative Senator who was on the right side of issues 99% of the time.
When he was nominated for Attorney General, and the left and media attacked him right and left as a 'racist' - I felt their attacks warranted respect for Sessions' abilities to bring justice to the most criminal gang of thieves, liars, murderers, rapists, child traffickers, and scum that Washington DC had ever seen.
So far, I haven't seen much, but to be fair Sessions has not been in office long. However, my entire approach to him shifted with last week's disastrous press conference.
He appeared confused, apologetic, shell shocked, lethargic, forgetful, weak, and castrated.
Rudy Guliani (in my opinion) would have cut the Democrats and the media down the gut with a dull knife and hung their sorry carcasses out to dry that day. But then again, Rudy also took down the leadership of the 5 Families of the Cosa Nostra.
I want Sessions to succeed. He is also a fellow believer in Jesus Christ. That counts for a lot. But it does not guarantee he will be successful in his current job. I attended a church awhile back where the head pastor had hired a very nice associate pastor. Both were, of course, saved and evangelical Christians.
The associate pastor did not support the actions of the head pastor (which time and events later confirmed that the head pastor was correct all along).
The associate pastor refused to do his job, and eventually, he had to be fired.
It is too late to replace Sessions if he turns out to be ineffectual. We would never get a new Attorney General through the nomination process for months, even if we could get a name to Capitol Hill.
If Sessions sits on his hands, the country, and Trump's entire Presidency, hangs in the balance.
