Very old news, but it serves as the foundation for a new proposal, and I hope the idea will spread to Team Trump - if it passes Freeper vetting.

If the former occupant of our White House can do this by executive order, perhaps America's president can implement a more positive contracting policy. My suggestion in brief is:

FACT SHEET: PROPOSED RULEMAKING TO IMPLEMENT EXECUTIVE ORDER *****, REQUIRING RIGHT TO WORK (they can keep their jobs without joining the union, paying union dues, or even paying an "agency fee", a fee typically inflated to 85% or 90% of the union dues) . . . for all federal employees represented by a union and for workers on Federal construction and service contracts represented by a union . . . the Executive Order right to work requirement applies to all contracts for construction covered by the Davis-Bacon Act; contracts for services covered by the Service Contract Act; concessions contracts, such as contracts to furnish food, lodging, automobile fuel, souvenirs, newspaper stands, and/or recreational equipment on Federal property; and contracts to provide services, such as child care or dry cleaning, in Federal buildings for Federal employees or the general public.

This one executive order, every bit as legal and within executive power as the parallel order above that was issued by the socialist who just won't leave, would gut the (currently 2.1 million member) Service Employees International Union. Given the harm SEIU does to America and to involuntary members daily, this is entirely appropriate as an executive priority this summer.

If President Trump can free the 39% of SEIU members who hate their union but need the job, the union goons in charge will lose a major part of their funding. SEIU is cutting their budget 30% in response to President Trump's election; it's time to permit those whose money goes to SEIU to decide whether to cut their membership as well.
