Modum, a small municipality in the south of Norway, is faced with an uprising of Syrian asylum seekers, who are angered by the communitys decision to house them for free in moderately sized student flats.
In order to voice their protest against this grave injustice, the six Arab men involved in the revolt have recently rejected the apartments by refusing to sign contracts allowing them to reside in the flats, with total floor areas of up to 20 square meters.
The Syrians, who claim to have fled the war in their homeland, are between 20 and 33 years of age. Abdulhadi Alkhalaf is one of the complainants. In Syria, the 31-year-old was working as a lawyer, and now hes claiming moral rights, Document reports using Bygdeposten as a source. Alkhalaf:
It is unfair that others are getting houses or apartments. We still live in an asylum centre and aspire to get ahead in life. Wed like to get a fresh start as soon as possible and thus we need real houses. We dont want to appear unhappy and demanding, but we are simply very impatient to move on.
Please dont cry
An official from the Modum municipality, which is located in Buskerud county near Oslo, denies any wrongdoing in offering the flats.
We understand that it is a big transition for Syrians from the upper social strata to inhabit micro-apartments, but theyre equipped with central heating, water, electricity, a kitchen, and a washing machine. Furthermore, they are conveniently located near a public transport hub.
The students who normally live in the apartments, the official points out, have to pay for them themselves, while the refugees inhabit them for free.
It is called obtaining a roof over your head, and we have fulfilled this obligation to the refugees. Apparently, the flats are good enough for students to live in them for years on end, while at the same time theyre not suited for Syrians whore claiming to have escaped from war.
This is coming to a country near you.
Aren't they all?
They get all the females they want. They don’t have to work. they are given the opportunity to knock up their 4 wives. Now they demand houses for their litters. Not surprising.
Ship the ungrateful beggars back to Syria or wherever they came from.
Like Tom Petty sang, “You don’t have to live like a refugee”. I guess this is what he meant.
They can just turn their map upside down and head back to Syria. Problem solved.
And here I thought the entitlement mentality was limited to whiny snowflakes and the EBT crowd. I guess even being given “asylum” after escaping a war-torn land doesn’t knock it out of some folks.
Pretty big talk from a refugee scumbag but then again, he's a "lawyer".
I hope I live long enough to see the townspeople with pitch forks chasing these people into the Sea....
How about a 0.866 cubic meter box instead? That should work just fine, and the box can be stored 2 meters underground, permanently.
Expel these useless ingrates from the country immediately!!!
“Upper social strata?”
What the hell does that mean in Syria, a waterproof cardboard box?
Somebody tell those fake swells that beggars can’t be choosers, even with an exaggerated sense of self worth. Gawd!
This!
That is expensive. Put them in small boats, tow them out to sea, and tell them they will be treated as an enemy invading army if they approach the Swedish shore again. They might have to expend a few rounds from shore but that is cheaper than air fare.
A fresh start. As soon as possible. There are so many blonde sex objects walking about out in plain sight and the “refugees” need a place to bring them when they catch them.
Why not go further...the good libs who are embracing their own demise should give their homes to the "refugees", then move into these apartments.
So I lit a fire
Isn’t it good
Norwegian wood
