I remember reading a story like that about 15 years ago. I think it was Oklahoma where the state and ICE began to seriously and publicly enforce immigration laws. There was so much self-deportation that virtually every illegal left for greener pastures.
So, let’s try that on a national scale.
I have no problem at all with a path to legality. I do believe that someone here illegally for any period of time should have no path to citizenship though.
