Rejecting arguments by Second Amendment supporters, the Florida Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a longstanding state ban on people openly carrying firearms in public.
Justices, in a 4-2 ruling, said the state law "regulates only one manner of bearing arms and does not impair the exercise of the fundamental right to bear arms."

This is not a state’s right to determine this. This is a violation of the Second Amendment.

In an increasingly urban state, even Florida’s GOP legislators live in fear of big city newspapers and their editorial boards. Suburban women — a swing bloc for the Florida GOP — are particularly queasy about open carry and are subject to the influence of the local urban newspaper.

Another example of the appeasement of the snowflakes unreasonable fear of guns. Just the mere sight of a gun is enough to tremble their delicate hearts.
Of course they prefer us to hide these instruments of protection, these force equalizers, so they can contunue their illusion.

Like it or not, tone of voice, demeanor, and outward presentation counts for over half of our voters: women.
And they didn’t get any say about the Second Amendment, so I suggest you be mindful of that fact.

OTOH, “barely covered” CCW is legal in FL.
That’s what I do. I put a t-shirt over it and if it prints, that’s your problem, I’m legal.

State of Florida allows open carry when going to or from a fishing, hunting, or camping event. I open carry every time I go to fish, just like these gentlemen.

There is also cause for optimism though. The Heller decision did much to strengthen the Second Amendment as a tangible constitutional right, and gun ownership and marksmanship practice are rising among women. Florida's gun lobby -- which is led by a woman -- is sophisticated and tenacious, so the odds favor some for of open carry being adopted eventually.

Thanks - took that tour. Also took the chocolate tour. Turned out to be a nice long weekend.
