Sir, there are going to be mistakes. I'm just don't see any cause for trepidation.
I feel that the administration handled this situation about as well as could be expected, if not perfectly, and I'd like to hear exactly what you think should have been done differently.
Saying that I believe there's been some overreaction on our side doesn't mean I'm in the "Amen chorus". I'm in neither the overreacting nor the Amen chorus, actually.
I think the administration's response was eminently adequate, and until I hear more about this unspecified "optimal" response that you appear to be chasing, I'm satisfied with it...
Fair question. I can rewrite the statement and it will become flawless. Allow me:
"Jeff Sessions is an honest man. He did not say anything wrong. He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not intentional. This whole narrative is a way of saving face for Democrats losing an election that everyone thought they were supposed to win. The Democrats are overplaying their hand. They lost the election and now, they have lost their grip on reality. The real story is all of the illegal leaks of classified and other information. It is a total witch hunt!"
There. Now it is perfect.
