Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign in the wake of a report that he had contact with the Russian ambassador last year and did not disclose it to senators during the confirmation process.
Schumer said it's "better for the country if he resigns," but that the most important thing is that a real investigation takes place.
"Has it already been compromised?" Schumer asked.

They are grasping at straws. I wonder that they don’t realize how desperate they look. Makes you wonder what they’re so afraid of. There’s no reason for them to be on the offense right now yet they very much are. Just what is going on behind the scenes??
Paul Ryan is answering questions in a press conference. He is a REPUBLICAN and he is answering the first question which was about Sessions... and he is saying “we have found no evidence.. we are investigating and have found no evidence”. He should be standing up for Sessions and Trump... he should be telling them they are on a witch hunt and that Sessions is in the clear.. Ryan should be more direct and defend the President and the administration from attack from the media and the democrats. The dems go full bore in protecting their party... ryan should go all the way in defending his side... he sounds like a man who would crumble and they know it!! he knows full well it’s not to find out anything about russia, but to get Sessions by using lies and insinuations to go after him..
I disagree....resign no but recuse yes. If he is truly being investigated by the FBI. You know politics though.

I do agree with that point completely and we know the FBI doesn’t come out and say certain people are under investigation early into an investigation (Hillary being the exception of course) otherwise it allows for preparation. Not only that the President would have to be told if his AG were under investigation wouldn’t he? I’m with you in that I believe Chuch u Schumer is creating controversy that isn’t there

What they are afraid of is an investigation of Democratic vote fraud.
Unsubstantiated allegations of Russian election interference will continue indefinitely because they cannot accept reality: their nominee was a flawed individual with political baggage who seldom appeared to be campaigning.
Maybe Putin can publish the names of any current and past rat congressits, who have talked to any Russians during the Obama years.
Then, the evil Russians can document: the date, time, place and the name of the Russians talking to the rats.
Then Senator Sessions spoke to over two dozen representatives of other countries during that time as a US Senator. One was after speaking at a public Heritage Foundation event.
The idea that an impromptu with members of other countries including Russia off the cuff is somehow nefarious is a bad joke.

I hear what you’re saying, and you are indeed correct that if he were being investigated by the FBI, that he would need to recuse himself. But I’m convinced that as sitting US Senator, in the time-frame in question, this would be very easy to do a preliminary investigation and come up with a “yes he did” or “no he didn’t.”
