The often turd-like Chris Wallace gave the speech good marks and said this was a turning point for Trump, ‘tonight he really became the President of the United States”. Explaining that with this speech, Trump’s detractors can no longer whine about him being “unqualified” or “illegitimate” or whatever. We’ll see, but I thought it was a pubic statement that Chris Wallace, at least, has tonight resolved his cognitive dissonance.
He has been POTUS...they just didn’t realize it because they were blinded by their stupid bias...oh, he didn’t come up through the uniparty ranks, oh he doesn’t accept how D.C. really works, oh he doesn’t bow to the media...oh it wasn’t his turn...oh he’s not a globalist..oh he isn’t a puppet of the real power...bleech!!!
Those "pubic" statements will create cognitive dissonance every time.
Big positives for this speech means the left has failed to delegitimize Trump. I wonder if other polls are looking this good. Public response to the speech is more meaningful than for past presidents because Trump got no honeymoon. If the public approves, it really means something.
