This has to be, I am sorry if not, some sort of “southern lady” thing against the other parts of the nation “do what is comfortable” thing. It is not as if she is sitting cross legged with a dress on. At least she is WEARING a dress and looks great in said dress.
It never occurred to me that an objection to haunches in the Oval could be turned now into a regional argument. Come to think about it, our culture was not entirely in the toilet during that era of “some sort of ‘southern lady’” and her grace, in public.
