Sure, it's dumb. But the outcry was entirely predictable. And the incident was entirely preventable.

When Obama was in shirtsleeves with his feet up on the desk all the time, we said Reagan never disrespected the office like that and always wore his jacket in the Oval Office.

So now, turnabout is fair play. You give lumps for something the other side does; you have to take them for what somebody on your own side does.
