We obviously live on different streets. Kudos to your wife for marrying well.
I guess... it’s a pretty common thing around here. At least, when people have small children.
My wife did actually work for several years: about the time my two sons were in High School and college. Her earnings helped us save for college, and pay the bills during. After they graduated, her job (at a Dr’s office) went away. We didn’t really need her to go back, so.. she chose not too.
We’re not in one of the poorer areas of town, but... we’re also definitely NOT one of the richer neighborhoods either. I’m surrounded by homes that easily cost 2-3X what mine is worth. We COULD move up, I guess... if she still worked. But, why?
I think, many people convince themselves they MUST work, to be able to afford all the “nice things” they want. It’s true, I suppose.... but, my experience has been: Those “nice things” aren’t the things that bring happiness.
That said... when I was a kid, almost NO women worked. Of course, we had a tiny house, and only one car and one TV. So, things were quite different then. :-)
Anyway... thanks of the link. I intend to play around on it.
You need to get out more.
It might help to open your eyes and ears to what is really going on out there. Reading will help you also.
Good luck!
For the record, anyone who knows the two of us will quickly tell you: It was I who "married well". :-)
She keeps our world together.
I read FR every day. What more do I need?
You’ve got a point there!
I couldn’t watch Trump’s speech live, but I did see it via Townhall.com. I haven’t been this proud of our Chief Executive since Reagan. His desire to create a free, equitable, and dynamic United States comes through loud and clear, I hope you agree.
I have a feeling even Paul Ryan is going to come around, and that’s saying something.
I just realized what your screen name says. Sarah is near and dear to my heart as well; I have nothing but respect and admiration for her. I wish she was part of this administration.
