Yeah, 57. The 9th Circuit Court ruled that we have to allow everybody from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, UAE, and Kuwait to enter the USA. So, yeah that makes an additional 7 states.

Well, we know there are 50 states, yet a Field and Stream magazine from 45 years ago said there was 52 states.

Then a newspaper article about the Philippines wanting to become a state, years later one claiming Puerto Rico wanted to become a state, and later one claiming Guam.

So, 52+3=55 states. Maybe they can get several Canadian provinces or Midway or the Marshall Islands to make it 57.

In addition to the 50 states, there is the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. territorial states of Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.
