The analogy is that the “ borders are borders “ argument so used by the EU to condemn Russia in Crimea were shattered in the case of Kosovo
Tough luck Serbia

Yet we have idiots wanting war with Russia because the Russian population of a cobbled together Ukraine want to secede by a vote of 97%

Now maybe if the Crimeans were muslim...

Meanwhile Turkey is about to,find out what it’s NATO allies think about borders and we seem to have a new country here named Rojava

I’m still unsure about the outcome in Syria. It is interesting that even the Arabs ran to the Kurds areas during the Chaos. It appears they trust them more than government as it was. There is a potential when this finishes for a Syria that is totally different from what proceeded it. That might be a blessing for all involved. Time will tell. Sometimes conflicts make a nation stronger.

But on the other hand, this is the Middle East.

I still hope for cooperation between Russia and US that gives some honesty to our relationships. They need not be like they have been. But trust is earned. If for attempting a better solution.
