Trump: DNC Chairman's Race ‘Rigged’

President Trump early Sunday tweeted that the race for Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman was “rigged.”

“Bernie's guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez!” Trump added.

Former Labor Secretary Tom Perez on Saturday defeated Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) to become the next DNC chairman in a win for centrist Democrats.

The race, which split along establishment-grassroots lines, in many ways mirrored the divisive 2016 presidential primary between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Hillary Clinton.

Sanders and many of his allies backed Ellison, the first-ever Muslim elected to Congress and a star on the left.

“Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!” Trump tweeted on Saturday, sparking a response from the new DNC chairman.

The other side is at war. Meet them in the battlefield.

Better yet, just let them continue to fight amongst themselves. We can enjoy the fireworks from the sidelines.

I’m tired of antagonistic tweets from the POTUS that have nothing to do with the office.

This DOES have to do with his office. This is the leader of the opposition for the next 4 years - those who will oppose everything Trump does.

Buckle your seatbelt and accept the reality that there will be turbulence.

I’m with you. Lot of energy wasted with constant either antagonistic and/or petty tweets.

Can someone whisper to Trump to tweet and repeat the Uranium sale /Russian Connection to Hillary; How about Podesta connection to Russia.

I just heard one of the ‘Rat candidates for President last cycle call President Trump a “fascist” on national TV. Why don’t you take your pearls and go over to DU and criticize him?

Why would I take your post seriously? Honestly, I guess I could click on your membername and see if you are for real, but why, in reading your post, would I even begin to assume that you are for "our" side and not someone sent by DU to show themselves to be an over the top supporter whose real purpose is to oppose by posing as some kind of stereotyped Trump supporter?

Some will see it as setting the Sunday Morning talk show agendas, etc. For me, I'm beginning to see it as a strategy that is outlasting its usefulness. Without introspection and adjustments, this kind of thing becomes a detriment.

So instead of marveling at the Democrats choice on the talkshows today, they will have to address Trumps tweet as well.

They can’t help themselves.

A simple tweet defining the conversation of the day.

I call that winning

I’m tired of antagonistic tweets from the POTUS that have nothing to do with the office. When I extrapolate this to never ending, I don’t like what my instinct says about it and the potential of success on very important things......

“Trump can’t prove he’s right, either. So nothing will come of this. “

Doesn’t have to. Just needs to show that the far left have been abandoned by the democrat party.

However, I can tell you are exhausted and unable to continue with your life. Examples of action have a way of doing that to the lazy.

More of the same, nothing but antagonistic bluster. I highly doubt, without research, that you are really for our side.

Trump's tweet applied pressure to the fault line in Democratic politics and was aimed at the left-most wing of Bernie supporters, who got cheated twice now. They are not happy and Trump made sure this message is heard across the country. Also, that it was a rigged election - an echo of their primary.

Trump is poking their wound with a stick to promote inter-party fighting. It is a great tactic to distract them while his team works behind the scenes.

Perhaps you'd prefer a tame RINO to pet and admire?

Yes! Absolutely! In the arena of ideas...not senseless, sophomoric, one-up tweets like junior high school adversaries. Good grief.

At least Trump is open about what he thinks. Obama hid behind the mask and destroyed the country and pretend it was not his fault. Keep it up President Trump. Expose the DNC.

It isn't a detriment yet.

All day the news commentators will be talking about the rigged DNC chairmanship election. And...This one short tweet will permanently imprint on the minds of the Sanders people that their party is corrupt and dishonest.

I call this genius.

Well said. He is calling these people out. Hes knows how to win.

Trump became a billionaire and the leader of the free world by trusting his brilliant instincts. If he had spent his whole life listening to “you cant do this! Its unwise! Its unprofessional! Its too risky! Youre making a mistake!” he would of probably ended up a struggling used car salesman.

Not knocking used car salesmen but you get my drift.

It just cracks me up that he has risen to the top of the top. I mean he has summitted Everest and people are STILL criticizing him and saying they know better.

Because he sees himself as virtually the only person standing up to that left and what they’re trying to do to our country. Even after his win, the Republicans in congress seem overwhelmingly content to cower under their desks, deny that anything’s ever going to get done, and whimper like cowards.

Besides, I like the mindset of constantly throwing it back in the left’s ugly face. Don’t let them set the agenda. Don’t let them get away with ANYTHING, because they’ve been getting away with EVERYTHING for far, far too long.

Well stated.

3 examples of let them do what they want and stay silent both resulting in us enduring 2 terms of Barry O

1. GWB - defined as Bush Lied People Died

2. McCain - nothing to fear - he’s a decent man

3. Chicken Little - aka Mitt Romney - taken apart by a partisan reporter and
never leveraged the 47 % comment to his advantage.... i.e. You the 53 are
paying for and supporting the 47

The Donald nukes them whenever he can, party , press, individual, doesn’t matter

He won’t let them define him or us.....

Damn, I wish someone would shut down his twitter acct. Why does he feel the need to comment about everything?

His impact on Twitter is 100x what it would be through the usual means. He'd be a complete idiot to stop using it. And this latest one? Solely to get one side of the DNC revolting against the other side. It may be an untrue charge (with Hillary and Obama involved, though, I doubt it), but the news networks and blogosphere will be covering it thus placing the possible reality of the charge firmly in the Ellison supporters' minds.

You criticize Trump. I criticize the totalitarian Left. I’ll leave it to others to decide whose side you’re on.
