JERUSALEM Israels Minister of Intelligence and Atomic Energy, Israel Katz, is known as a political bulldozer. Its a label he is proud of and a trait, he believes, could bring about peace with the Palestinians.
Albeit in a roundabout way.
Katzs plan, which he says has been adopted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is regional and multilayered. The creation of a Palestinian state or at least an autonomous, demilitarized entity will come by default at the tail end.
Netanyahu went to America after many discussions here in which we spoke about the idea for regional peace, based on security and economic considerations in the region, said Katz in an interview with The Washington Post.
I told the prime minister that the goal should be to deal less with labels and more with content, said Katz, who also serves as Israels minister of transportation.
This was the one of the messages Netanyahu shared in a news conference with President Trump in the White House earlier this month.
Responding to a journalists question asking if the prime minister had come to Washington to tell the president he is backing off from the solution of two states for two people the Israelis and the Palestinians Netanyahu said: Rather than deal with labels, I want to deal with substance. It's something I've hoped to do for years in a world that's absolutely fixated on labels and not on substance.(continued)

I doubt he can put a stop to all of it. But Trump might just surprise the hell out of everyone and create a lot more peace than anyone will believe.
Something on the order of the Egypt/Israeli treaty.
I think he is far smarter and a better deal maker than most people realize.
I don’t see how people have any hope for peace with people whose ideals are convert to my form of Islam or die. I certainly hold no hope for peace with that kind of evil.
No, there wont be complete peace there. But if he gets the Saudis, Jordanians, and Gulf States to end their anti-Israeli BS, the money can dry up in a big way for the Palestinians.
Also, he has already mentioned that he isn’t talking a typical veneer of a deal that actually has some other goal. He means they stop all the BS, rip down the posters commemorating suicide bombers, stop teaching Jew hate, stop broadcasting it, stop 100% of the rockets, etc.
And he has further said a deal might not be possible and if its not, he will walk and arm the Israelis to the hilt.
Mark my words, he has some tricks up his sleeve.
He is smart enough to know the Palestinian terror, the Syrian rebels, Al Qeida, ISIS, Al Nusra, all require money, and a LOT of it.
And the boy knows money.
He has a goal like the end of the IRA. The end of the Egyptian/Israeli conflict era, etc. He isn’t after just any old agreement. And if they don’t act serious, they will be out in the cold. NO Obama to coddle them no matter what they do.
According to prophecy, there WILL be a peace agreement, but after 3 1/2 years the ragheads will break it.
How can peace be achieved with a group who’s highest aspiration is to murder you?
Evidently, Trump has a proposal that is out of the box.
And it will probably be the best deal the Palestinians will ever get.
Stay tuned.
The Israelis will not allow the existence of a Palestinian state and the Palestinians will not allow the continued existence of a Jewish state. Given that then the idea that peace is possible is naive.
That was fulfilled in 70 AD - but perhaps it will happen again. However, I would not call if prophecy. It could cause someone to lose faith - much like the early Jews did when Jesus did not meet their pre-conceived ideas.
Er, if he wants to help in the drafting of a peace treaty that’s great. As long as he’s not the one who confirms or strengthens an already existing one, if I’m reading the Word correctly.
Yes, it’s called peace through strength.
You settle with their leaders, and their balls and minds will follow
