It has been revealed by church officials that Pope Francis overruled advice given to him by the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith about two priests - allowing them to be punished by a lifetime of prayer.

The way the church has treated this pedophilia issue has been wrong for many years. That is the main reason they lost me.
The inability of the Church to deal with their pedophile priest problem is what drove me away 30 years ago.
Now that they have a fake Pope, who is a communist Islam lover, I’m glad I am no longer a Catholic.

Pope Francis, didn’t you say you wanted to spend more time with your family? I hear Argentina is a fine place to visit this time of year. It’s also a good place to retire, if you don’t mind having a Communist or two for a neighbor.
Given many things, not the least of which is this one, it's difficult to think it's not so.

My understanding is that the catholic church, in its attempt to reduce costs due to upkeep of a family and the potential future widow, forbid priests to marry. The result is that all kinds of child molesters and pedophiles entered the priesthood.
It’s such a part of the culture in various circles of power, it will eventually be considered normal.

Where are the civil authorities? Why aren’t they convicting and putting these priests in jail? Why is Francis being relied on to “punish” thei priests in the first place?
It’s ridiculous to blame him (and I despise him for what he’s doing to the Church), but fair is fair) for something that the police and attorneys should be taking care of.
My father was in the Knight of Columbus for 40+ years.
He would not believe what this fake Pope is doing.
The catholic church has serious problems.
