He’s not foiled yet. If US doesn’t prevail on him to stay away from Manbij he will take Manbij. It may be very expensive to do but he will do it. From here it looks like we lose either way if he makes the assault. We have to physically stop the Turks which is would be a problem for NATO or we would lose a so far reliable ally. It’s a problem when one ally attacks another ally. Turkiye has legitimate grievance against he YPG in that YPG at least wass the Communist Kurdish faction as the Iraqi
Kurdistani” Kurds were antiCommunist. Overall, though, both factions are Moslem and the YPG has showed its fangs, if only a little, to the Christians and Azeris.
