I recognized from the beginning the lable wasn’t important. trump wanted to do the things I wanted a president to do. that’s all that matters.
Trump is Reagan 2.0.
I find the struggle to understand just how Trump is conservative to be puzzling. He’s not very wide of the mark at all, as far as my own personal view of just what constitutes conservatism. Maybe people who are enthralled with anything that creates more profit for the corporate world regardless of how badly it eviscerates the domestic economy are confused, but people who actually care about the future viability of the citizenry of this country are not confused in the least. He’s a patriot, he’s a nationalist. Those are not bad words to people in the real world unassociated with any think tank. It’s music to our ears.
Firstly, Donald Trump is conservative in the most important way of all: He wishes to preserve the United States of America as a sovereign nation. That cannot indisputably be said of any of the other vaunted so-called conservatives (including Ted Cruz).
Secondly, the concept of left and right meeting at the extremes via circular image - thus making fascism extreme right instead of just another flavor of extreme left - is a lie from the Left: Erik von Keuhnelt-Leddihn systematically and decisively destroys that leftist weapon in his book, Leftism: from de Sade and Marx to Hitler and Marcuse.
