Wait? There is a Medicare trust fund? Is it as solvent at the SS one?

While there’s no medicare trust fund, those of us on it, pay $100+ monthly from our social security which we paid into for years.

Medicaid on the other hand is a freebie. If people want medicaid they should have to pay for it...maybe not as much as medicare, but say half of medicare for adults $50mo and minimal $10mo for a child under 18. Sadly it will result in a 2 tiered medical system, but it already is that way with a lot of doctors not accepting medicaid presently. That would be a start anyway. For workers on Obamacare presently, a possible solution would be double medicare rates for adults $200mo and $20 per child. If they can find it cheaper or better elsewhere, go for it. Still going to cost the taxpayers a lot of bucks but much less. If I don’t know what I’m talking about, just tell me.
