At least seven of the 46 Senate Democrats who voted against Betsy DeVos, President Donald Trump’s newly-minted education secretary, currently send or once sent their own children or grandchildren to expensive private schools.
DeVos, a long-time school choice advocate from Michigan, was the architect of Detroit’s school charter system and formerly led the Alliance for School Choice advocacy group. She headed the American Federation for Children — which backs school choice for poor and underprivileged families — when Trump nominated her.
As The Daily Caller noted when DeVos was nominated, Trump has called school choice “the civil rights issue of our time,” especially for African-American children, who are unequally stuck in some of America’s worst public schools.

I welcome discussion, critique, lambasting and banishment .... but this whole "education" thing is the root of America's demise or success.
NONE of the snowflakes came from a voucher school, Catholic parachial school, private school nor home school.
87%, 89% or 92% (I've found three different numbers) of all HS graduates in the USA are out of public school.
If a generation, or two or even three are "lost", it's because of public school, even before common core.
Her first Order of Business should be to reign in all these Private Schools that are not teaching the EXACT SAME CURRICULUM as the Public Schools. And BOWLS OF CONDOMS should be in EVERY CLASSROOM in every Private School across America.

The end result will be contaminated schooling that used to be free from Gov. Control. (MONEY FOLLOWS CHILD-REGULATIONS AFFECT ALL STUDENTS) language in ESSA. Also, structural changes-UNELECTED SCHOOL BOARDS
REFORM-must include an honest debate about whether schools are for “training” or “educating”
Also get in behind AGENDA 21 (UNESCO) in our schools.

I got one other born again Christian on so we are now two against seven with more activism looking like we can pick up another one or two Conservative Patriots.
The point is .... the public school curriculum must be stopped and the socialist teachers must be fired and no more new ones hired.
School should be readin', writin' n' 'rithmetic with TRUE American and world history and TRUE civics INSTRUCTION/INDOCTRINATION (yep ... I DID say that)
Kids are graduated today with no moral and political compass, both of which are absolutely necessary to be a participant in our America as envisioned and as "birthed"
I realize I am too idealistic for this modern era but shooting for Mars landed us on the moon (at least that's how I evaluate our space accomplishment(s) ... we dreamed outer solar system and developed our next door neighbor)
