Forget Curt Schilling. It's Tom Brady who should be running for the U.S. Senate.
His campaign slogan will be, "Let's go!"
After all, if the famous quarterback of the New England Patriots is going to get grief for being President Donald Trump's friend, or for a visit to the White House, then he should at least make the most of i

I haven’t lived in New England for a while, but Boston never really was an NFL town. I confirmed that with a co-worker who only recently left Massachusetts. Boston and Massachusetts will ALWAYS be about the Red Sox.
Until the Brady era, the Celtics came second, and then the Boston Bruins and Boston College.
Although younger Bostonians may be big time Brady/Patriot fans, I believe if you took a poll of Bostonians young and old, Doug Flutie would be at least neck-and-neck for biggest football hero.
I agree. Every team in the AFC East would likely have better stats if that were true (except the Pats, of course), at least some of the time. And by extension, the rest of the AFC to a lesser degree. It has been a great decade and a half to be a Pats fan.
Maybe he can run for Congress when he retires from football.
No thanks.
Brady’s leadership and the Patriots’ winning ways are completely lost on the GOP. Instead of driving for winning touchdowns they fumble the ball every time.
It takes conviction, sound strategy, teamwork and execution to win. The GOP lacks all four.
I believe athletes could do a better job than a fake Indian or a bad comic...
Some folks must have a short memory.
Way back when, we all thought Rubio was the solid conservative he claimed to be because he was a Latino that talked strong on protecting the borders - he turned out to be something totally different. We also loved Mike Lee - he was as close to a NeverTrumper as one can get and a rat traitor to the People because he didn't like what we wanted.
So, I ask you, what do we really know about how Brady would stand on issues - he might be a good pick as the guy I responded to thought, or he may not be the one we want to oppose Warren.
If yer gonna attribute some stupid crap to a post, at least have a little bit of evidence that it actually comes close to whatever loony bin your mind leapt to.
But, then again, I sometimes jump the shark - will give you a pass on this one, no matter how far out in left field it is.
Better than Fuaxahontas for sure, but we don’t want to go all “Rubio” on him, thinking he’s the next super conservative addition, and then discover that another person running as Repub may have been better because he ends up having a lot of opinions that don’t mesh - I have no problem with Brady of Warren, but the question is still valid.
Agree - Just trying to keep it real - we all thought Rubio was going to be a staunch conservative and now we’re stuck with him. No doubt Brady would be better than Warren - would still be nice to know where he stands on a lot of other issues.
OK,I see you're from Mississippi.I can assure you that Massachusetts,or New England in general,is very, very,*very* different than the rest of the country. It's not a coincidence that Bernie Sanders moved to Vermont. It's not a coincidence that the Kennedys and Kerrys are in Massachusetts.Getting a Senator from any of the New England states that votes with Senators from Mississippi 50% of the time is an amazing accomplishment.
Just remember, both Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe (of Maine),two Senators regularly cursed here on FR as being RINOs,voted against ObamaCare.I can assure you that every Rat Senator from New England not only voted for it but declared it to be the best thing to come out of Washington since FDR.
Mississippi went through the debacle of edging McDaniel out to re-seat Cochran. If Brady actually runs, he will need massive support from the Repubs in the area because the press will be enormous from the Left. Even though I'm in Mississippi, I would donate to his campaign.
