What is the demographics or the finger lakes?
Depends where in the Finger Lakes you are.
You can easily see Syracuse and Ithaca, although the Syracuse area is not hard core liberal. Our congressman, John Katko, is a very strong Republican.
From wikipedia
He ran against Dan Maffei in the United States House of Representatives elections, 2014 and was declared the winner on November 4, 2014, by 20 percentage points the largest margin of defeat suffered by an incumbent in the cycle.[6]
Katko ran for re-election in 2016. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary.[7] He faced Democrat Colleen Deacon, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's former district director for Central New York, in the November 2016 general election.[8] Katko was re-elected with 61% of the vote.[9]
There are more guns and cows in the Finger Lakes area than people.
There are liberal enclaves but most of the area is remote and some areas are downright desolate.
I know it's not what people come to expect from NY, but we conservatives are here.
Well I know one thing - it is largely conservative. Ithaca being the obvious exception.
I am an hour out from that area. My county is pretty solid conservative also.
Is that anything like “the frequency”?
