Japan:
I had an Aussia buddy, his visa was going to expire, so he was going to return home.
He was cutting it close, his flight would leave and the next day his visa would be no more.
Train delays, blah, blah, blah, he MISSES his flight..!
Gets a flight the next day, hey it’s just a couple of hours over, so no problem, right..?
NOPE..!
He was an illegal for mere HOURS at the check-in counter, but lo and behold, WHO shows up..?
The cops, yeah, there were called per protocol when the airline people saw the discrepancy.
And ya know what..?
He went to jail. For over two weeks.
AND HE WAS **DEPORTED**.
For a discrepancy of HOURS, with ZERO intent.
Australian?
Yeah, well Japan is a real country that enforces its laws.
Oh how I wish we could be a real country again.......
