8 years of lawlessness has literally convinced *everybody* that they’re untouchable, hasn’t it?
I imagine Trump played the very high road with discussions with Director Comey. Probably indicated his complete trust and confidence in the Director's complete and clear authority to pursue investigations as warranted.
It would behoove the administration to be in a position for Mr. Comey to say later that he had no discussions with anyone outside of the Dept. of Justice about certain investigations.
Something big is coming down, that is my instinct on this meeting.
He likely told them to STFU about the fake Russian hacking the election stories. :-)
NSC head resigns over Russian phone calls? Just breaking?
My take as well.
It may have gone like this:
Comey: “Folks, if we don’t hang together, we will all hang apart. I know some of you like cheese pizza. Others are fond of hot dogs. But there’s a new sheriff in town, and I don’t know how long I can continue to protect you, much less protect myself.”
But probably more like this:
Comey: “Folks, we’ve turned over every rock but can find nothing illegal on Flynn. So we have to find some other way to try to bring down Trump. Any ideas?”
First of all, Hillary and her ‘classified information’ came on Barky’s term, not President Trump's...
President Trump came out in the Presser and totally flamed throwed all the media, basically putting them on point...’leak more fake news’ from ‘underfed sources’ and you will be seeing a prison term or two...
Then T-Rex had a ‘blood bath’ on the ‘7th floor’; how many didn't ‘pass their security classifications’ ...seeing a pattern here...
What is President Trump going to land on the rally today???
Is this going to ‘united the base’ per say, we are totally united behind our President, but is he doing this to show the rest of the people that America is behind him 100% and he is going to be for the Country and Americans??? I say yes to that, but something else is in ‘the making’ here and knowing President Trump, the ‘boom shell’ is coming and it is going to blow a lot of things and people up...
My research, my people I talk to, and a few others are thinking this same thing...
Schumer huddled for a total of more than two hours on Friday.
Now that can’t be good something is going to happen big time.
I think a world of hurt is gonna come down on the Left and two certain ‘R’ senators this weekend, to be announced on President’s Day, Monday.
It might be a BAD day for the Judiciary and Legislative.
A three-day weekend, do you think the people about to be served warrants will go home, or stay in DC to try and fight there?
Phil Collins’ ‘In The Air Tonight’ is soundtracking in my head. DJT’s rallies this weekend should bump him over 60% approval, at which point he lowers the boom on the Swamp.
Popcorn, popcorn.
Oh gosh, we think totally alike. It is all totally choreographed.
Has McCain returned or is he still out of the country?
I don’t know. Maybe his return flight was scheduled for Mon. night, since he didn’t expect to have to be back to work until after Presidents’ day holiday. Where’s Graham? Where’s Obama? Why didn’t Graham comment on the Boeing rally in his back yard yesterday?
Imagine if we have ahead of us a new entry in the political lexicon: The President’s Day Massacre.
Two hour meeting is significant. It was more than a “watch out!”
IIRC, Graham had to stay in D.C. For the close Pruitt vote, and did comment on Trump’s visit to his state (positively) and sent his regrets that he couldn’t be there.
DC is the ultimate rumor mill. I have been hearing for two weeks or so that pizzagate was about to bust wide open. Then the Flynn thing happened and in the middle of that the IT brothers. My best guess is that the IT brother thing is turning into a giant $hitshow and the damage is hugh.
...and when did Comey meet with the Senators...???
Don’t trust Comey. I suspect he was kept because of initial bad optics. I’m guessing he has limited time left.
