On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour,” anchor Brian Williams argued President Trump’s criticisms of the media were “Because when you reduce the media enough in prestige, they — when they do report facts, those facts are diminished.”

Brian Williams and “Facts” got divorced a long way back.
Trump’s criticisms do not reduce the media’s prestige. The media’s propensity for lying reduces its prestige. Trump is just one of the few people willing to call it out.
Except they don’t report facts. What they do report should be diminished — exposed.
The fun continues. He uses their tactics against them. SNOWY (the new battle cry!)
“Media” and “facts” should never be used in the same sentence. “Media” and “propaganda” are the terms to be used.
Brian. You, and Chuck Todd, and Lester Holt and Don Lemon and Scott Pelley and so MANY others have worked tirelessly to diminish yourselves. You are slimy, detestable, scum and with this last election, we clearly see you for what you are. Thank you for that.
I read that as, “If they happen to report some facts....”
....provided they actually report any facts
Trump diminishes the media by pointing out that the media lies about the “facts” routinely.
The media diminishes the media by writing lies as facts, giving Trump his ammunition.
The media think Trump is the problem.
And that is a major part of the problem...
If they’ve ever tried just reporting the facts without disguising editorializing as fact, I don’t recall it.
Maybe they should give it a try and see what happens.
The Ministry of Propaganda does not broadcast facts only an agenda disguised as such.
Trump acknowledged that he indeed might contribute to the media’s decline, but this @sshat won’t even give the guy credit for that, instead he thinks that Trump’s assault came first, not a response to unfair media coverage.
I can’t stand listening to any of them. Even Charles Krauthammer again last night, says he was bewildered at Trump saying that people in the US would be happy if he blew that Russian ship out of the water, as if he was oblivious to the number of congressmen and woman who were whipping up hatred for the USSR.
I liked things ok back in the days of radio when there were no talkin’ heads...they were just “announcers” reading from a prepared (by whom?)script on a sheet of paper.
We didn’t even know what they looked like...unless we saw a pic in a magazine or newspaper!
Imagine 0’pinhead and/or smit in such a position today!

Did you see the ABC news hit on trump. They totally mislead the audience about what happened with the black reporter. First they cut the interchange between the two and cut out almost all of Trumps answer leaving just enough to make it seem that they showed it all. Then they sliced in a black congressman who made it sound racist that he asked “the only black person in the room” to set up a meeting with the black caucus. But the reporter was the only person in the room whos job it was to cover black issues in Washington. And the only black reporter in the room was the only one who asked the question. Then they left out the point that the black caucus did not want to meet with him. ABC news should go on the fake news list.
That would involve integrity; LSM and integrity appear to be mutually exclusive terms.
Aesop’ Fable about “The little boy who cried wolf” should be mandatory reading in all newsrooms.
The media has committed suicide long ago. What you are seeing and smelling is their rotten corpses.
