DD: I'm not aware of any reports indicating that they are.
That is my point, actually. We have a single report that leaves unanswered a key question in whether this trip is an undue burden on the taxpayer, and the assumption is that the taxpayers are screwed. If the media has facts to report that show the taxpayer is being fleeced, then they should report it. If they have evidence that Trump Enterprises is footing the non-security related items, then they should report that, as well.
By leaving certain facts out of the story, the media routinely shapes the narrative to impair or destroy a Republican politician.
Consider the stories about the illegal aliens being picked up for deportation - the "mother of two" from Texas (I think) is a 5-time felon, having voted illegally at least that many times, and having committed other offenses. But those facts are omitted, leading the reader to believe that she is ONLY guilty of being in the country illegally.
Until the media start investigating and reporting on all of the facts, they deserve to be ridiculed and ignored.
