[Monday Congress begins President’s Day recess and they will not return until the end of the month]
This CONGRESSIONAL RECESS needs to stop. How many days do the legislators actually work?
DC legislators used to work three days a week, for the most part. A very few people would quickly open and close a session on Mondays and Fridays, but no votes or important committee meetings would take place. Thus they could arrive late on Monday or early on Tuesday and then depart DC late on Thursday or early Friday morning and not miss anything.
I hope they are wearing themselves out now, especially the Dems with their all-nighters.
