Refusing to pay Federal taxes is Not Noble if you’re Doing It to Protest Someone’s Existence

And Ruth Benn, a coordinator of the National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee, who is also threatening to withhold taxes as a way of protesting Donald Trump.

These are movements designed to disrupt government, which in some case can be a noble effort, but not this time. This time it is immature, short-sighted and ultimately self-serving.

The movement is laughable!

What “taxes” are they refusing to pay? If it is only the income tax - the are still feeding the beast through consumption / withholding. So even if they DID manage to “not pay” and get away with it, that amount is likely far less then what they have already paid.

If they were SERIOUS - they would stop working entirely - no income -> no withholding -> no tax. Of course that would mean a major lifestyle change. They would also need to get off grid as much as possible, junk the car and various other items that force consumption of taxable items, and hundreds of other “small things”.

The “intelligent” people calling for such things KNOW this and, of course, would never actually DO it - but it sounds real cool to the nut-cases!

Let me refuse. The IRS with a few keystrokes will drain their financial accounts for the taxes owed, plus some handsome fines. They WILL pay their taxes, yes, even the Muslims, the Africans, and other privileged designates will pay their share.

Getting yourself sent to prison and have all your assets seized because someone you didn’t want to get elected, did get elected is like burning down your house to protest a Walmart being built 10 miles from you.

Less tax revenue = women+children+minorities hurt. Funny, how suddenly this doesn’t bother the Left, eh?

I, for one, support the Left to start a tax revolt.

1) it will never happen, because the first victim would be their beloved nanny-state and all the leftist social-engineering schemes it pushes.

2) The path of progressive-left capture of government was paved by the creation of the Federal Reserve and the Income tax. It was completed when the US severed any link of the US Dollar to gold. As such, all outside discipline was lost, and progressives of all stripes (including RINOs) have had power because they could SPEND and create massive debt, without immediate consequence.

to the Left I say - YES, please begin a federal tax revolt.

> “Protest Someone’s Existence”?
That “someone” is me. And 10s of millions of other people who voted for Trump and want him the use the taxes the way he said he would.

The entire freak-out on the left is not hatred of Trump. It’s hatred of the half of the country who they disagree with.

IRS now has names who are too stupid to keep quiet about their intentions. Asset confiscation, arrest and trial.

If they get away with this I want ALL the taxes I paid for the last 8 years. I protest his elections, qualifications, and eligibility.

Let em go for it, they will learn quite quickly just how powerful that ever loving government they worship is, and just how much they “care” about them very very quickly.

You can’t fix stupid, but you can enjoy them getting their just deserts.

It takes a special kind of stupid to poke a stick at the IRS. Good luck with all that.
