Former CIA operative and 2016 third-party presidential candidate Evan McMullin took to Twitter and CNN on Wednesday to defend rogue intelligence agents who break the law to leak classified information, saying President Donald Trump “presents a threat to the country.”
In response to President Trump’s tweets earlier Wednesday, in which he alleged that elements of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and National Security Agency were engaged in “Russia”-style political operations, McMullin tweeted:
The obvious implication was that McMullin believes that intelligence and law enforcement agents are entitled to break the law based on their own views that the President of the United States is a threat to the Constitution and in cahoots with Russia.
Mcmullen reiterated his views on CNN, where he purported to speak for the concern of the agents doing the leaking:
“I’ll tell you what their concerns are. There concerns are that Donald Trump presents a threat to the country because of his — what they see as his relationship with Vladimir Putin and the relationship of his team to other Russian intelligence officers.”
McMullin cited a New York Times report indicating that Trump campaign aides had contact with Russian intelligence — without also noting that the same report indicated there was “no evidence” that the “Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.”
He went on to make the very claim denied by the Times article, telling Baldwin Trump “ran a campaign that was assisted by a foreign adversary — our greatest foreign adversary.”
Pressed by host Brooke Baldwin as to whether there were “too many leaks,” McMullin said that intelligence officers were bound by an oath to defend the country and the Constitution against “domestic and foreign enemies.”

Domestic enemy? Treason? Are they really sure they want to break out those words, to go there in any official capacity? Who is this McMullin person, anyway? Why should anyone outside of Utah pay him any mind? Because he ran an abject laughingstock of a failed Presidential campaign? He couldn’t even win with his blinkered coreligionists in Utah, that’s how minuscule his level of influence actually is.

Judge Napolitano came on Fox business and he scared the hell out of me about our CIA and all the agents who have turned on trump because of their political standing! He mentioned that the agents will not give him classified information for fear that he will give it to the Russians! This is the most asinine dangerous position for our national taxpayer security personnel to take! It’s about politics to them, it’s not about the people anymore and our safety... the CIA has turned on the American people they have become a dangerous tool siding with the left wing cancer Alinsky bastards! They are willing to risk the American people’s lives for the pure purpose of politics! The judge said that we are so ripped at this very moment for something terrible to happen in this country because they’re too busy trying to destroy Trump and they’re throwing caution to the wind! He said this swamp is too huge to clean because too many people are democRATS and the majority are Obama administration leftovers. . I believe we are in the beginning stages are a full-blown coup....if we do not come to president trump’s defense and battle the Rats they will most like succeed and Trump Will be out of office in less than six months! McMuffin is first and foremost a spook.
I’ve noticed that the neo-cons are losing control of themselves.
For example, this outburst by McMullin and the John Schindler tweet that some in the intelligence services want Trump to die in jail.
Let’s see if these cons have enough guts to something more than to write mean tweets and make strongly worded statements. I don’t think they do because I think they are cowards.
