WHEW, For a moment I thought it was Kim Jong Un. I was ready to pop up my champagne bottle :)
More likely the continuing of the end. I believe the beginning was somewhat earlier.
History is repeating itself, in a mini-way. As far as NK is concerned, Il-Sung was their Tiberias, Jong-Il their Claudius, and Jong-Un their Nero.
If NK were as economically and militarily strong as ancient Rome, the Kim dynasty would be replaced, after sectional fighting, by something resembling the Flavian, with someone in the military top brass wresting power and re-establishing order.
Since NK is on the thin edge of an economic precipice, what is more likely to occur is its collapse into the arms of the South, which China will sit by and let happen because in the backrooms of Seoul and Beijing they will be assured that Korea has no aims in Manchuria or anywhere else, that they will perceive their main enemy to be Russia, and that a rejuvenated Korea is a barrier to any designs of the Japanese (not that the Japanese have any designs, but the Chinese are still angry about WWII).

You all might find this video interesting about travel and propaganda in NK. This place is nuts and so so sad. Very insightful.
